The Chicago Cubs are cursed, and voodoo won't fix that. To get the guys back on track, we're encouraging fans to boost the team's karma by doing good deeds around the Windy City.
On opening day we’ll put the past behind us, and kickstart Cubs Karma with a grand gesture: making Wrigley Field a welcoming place for Steve Bartman, the Cubs fan blamed for blowing the team’s shot at winning the 2003 World Series.
We’ll retire Bartman’s infamous seat number, and ahead of every home game, we’ll give the spot to a Cubs Karma participant.
There are endless ways to get in on the do-gooding, and fans will find suggestions all around Chicago.
Fans who share their good deeds, along with the hashtag, have a shot at winning a night in Steve Bartman's seat.
We'll collect all the social media updates and share them on the Cubs Karma website.
